The MES Central School, Kunnukara was the second M.E.S. School started in Ernakulam Dist. In the year 2004 under the auspecies of Muslim Educational Society Kunnukara with 165 students.

The M.E.S .Kunnukara unite, committee has purchased 2.675 acres of land, 1 K.M. away from Kunnukara Junction ,distance from Cochin International Airport is only 10 KM,and distance from N.Paravoor is 6 KM. The construction work of the first part of the school building was completed in February 2004 and the school office started functioning in the new building from 31 st March 2004 onwards. This prestigious institution, as we expect, will be a mile stone in the Educational Revolution sponsored by MES in Ernakulam Dist. Specially in our poor village Kunnukara.

MES Central School, Kunnukara has come up with a prestigious Montessori environment. .We are following the syllabus of Modern Montessori International (MMI) It is designed to the child's meet the child's need for self- construction. At Modern Montessori, We belive in providing an all round learning environment which will help the child to develop physically, cognitively, socially and emoticonally . From this year on ward LKG is represented by Mon-1 and next year by Mon-11. Children within the age of 3 1/2 -4 1/2 years as on 1st June of the year are eligible for admission to Mon-1 classes. Normally reservation of seats to this class commences from the middle of January every year. The children are trained in the social habits , cleanliness and discipline, in addition to imparting education in the fundamentals of English and Malayalam Languages, number work and general knowledge. Educational Charts, toys and other teaching aids are used to make the learning process more effective and attractive to the little kids.
